November is here and the snow is not, crazy!

Here is the calendar, please note we have COUPLE/PARTNER'S YOGA next Friday night.  Nov. 13th 7:30-9:00, I know the calendar states Sat., but that was a typo on my part. (Opps)  Cost is $20.00 per couple, it does not need to be your husband can be a great friend.  Please RSVP with me if your coming I do need 5 couples to make this night happen.

The Master 10 Foods

Here is a list of foods we should have in our daily consumption, per Jillian Michaels.  I finished her book Master Your Metabolism, it was very good.  I have my highlighter marks all over it, so much great info. 

The list :

1. Legumes - Best Choice - red beans

2. Alliums - Best Choice- garlic other good ones are onions, leeks and chives

3. Berries - Any and All - Organic is a must!

4. Meat and eggs - Alaskan wild salmon - best choice

5. Colorful fruits and veggies - Best choice - Tomatoes

6. Cruciferous veggies - Broccoli

7. Dark -green leafy veggies - Spinach

8. Nuts and seeds - Almonds and Walnuts are the best choices

9. Organic dairy - Organic Low-Fat plain yogurt

10. Whole grains - tie between oats and barley

This is a very small overview of this in-depth book,  get it from your local library or buy, it is worth every penny.

Happy Halloween

Halloween is here, just a reminder we will be having yoga classes tomorrow (10/31) 

1st class is at 8am - Active class

2nd class is at 9am - Restorative class

Welcoming Fall into our lives.

Hard to believe, but this is the week we see and welcome Fall/Autumn with open hearts/minds and arms.  Yesterday was the passing of the autumn equinox, so the nights now become longer then the days.  The changes in nature reflect changes in us, our food, our sleep patterns and so on.  Let us TRANSITION into these cooler months with a truly universal practice of YOGA!!  Let us take the time needed to nourish ourselves and reflect.  Just as the trees and animals change with this beautiful season, so should we.  Always listening to the nature around us and learning.
